For once, I won't be fishing on an otherwise auspicious-looking (at least weather-wise) weekend, because I'll be going to my oldest daughter's college graduation. :D

They just stocked all of your local rivers/streams too!  There's plenty of other weekends tho.

I'm focusing my efforts on Quabbin.  Hoping to get out a little tonight in the yak then the Q the next couple of days.  From what I've been told the smallie spawn is a little behind this year at the Q or with the high water they are spawning in different spots not known to my sources.  The deep water, prespawn fisherman are getting them but not many on beds yet which is surprising with the water temps.

Jim,
A college graduation is one of life's great milestones due to the efforts of your daughter and the efforts of you and your family to support her.It is worthy of your complete attention and recognition. Congratulations to your family for a job well done.

Congrats Jim.  That's awesome.  I'm in the same boat (haha) in that my daughter has a dance recital Saturday evening.  My wife works in the morning.  Sooo...even so here's how I get down...

Friday evening after work Ill fish the Farmington but near the end of the TMA.  I did double digits in a single pool this evening before kayakers ended that bite...spinners in the evening have been impressive down south.

Saturday I will sneak out from 4am until 730 and hit the Farmington up by me.  If im antsy after the recital Ill return at night and swing sculpin streamers (quickly becoming a new thing for me)  Then the stripers Sunday in the CTR.

Good luck, Jon!  Enjoy.  (Both fishing and at the recital).

I had to squeeze in my only chance to fish tonight.

It wasn't great, but I eventually managed to catch a respectable rainbow - - so that will just have to hold me, at least until next week.

Nice work Matt. Got one big smallie at quabbin and about 8 small ones. It was relatively slow but we couldn’t have had a better day weather wise.
