Headed out for a few hours to chase the pike last weekend, wanted to stretch the legs on my new orvis recon setup, and to try out a big pike pattern i cooked up. Didn’t stick any monsters but i managed to beat the skunk.

My goal this year is to land a pike on the fly rod as well. I'll be using an 8wt but it should do the trick.

I’ve got them with my 7 before but throwing the big flies gets tiring with the smaller stick, so i figured id go with the 10 and then i could use it for salt too

Nice video man. No fluff. I don't blame you for not posting the orvis visit. I was unimpressed with them the one and only time I visited. Besides...you don't want to give them free ads!
