One of my favorite thing to do is troll for trout. This was one out of Echo lake a couple years ago.

I would have thought that it would have been echo lake in Maine with the shirt that you are wearing...

What do you guys use as trolling lures? Is it true the landlocks don't like bright colored lures (like firetiger, chartruese etc.)? I just bought 2 downriggers and will try deep trolling this summer for the first time.

Did anyone go out last weekend? I tried St. Catherine but didn't have any luck. The ice just came off on Thursday 4/8. Marked a bunch of fish down on the bottom in 50 foot of water.
Salmon will hit a bright lure. I caught one on Dunmore last year that hit a chartruese spoon.

Nothing yet
Water is still in the 40's. I did have a couple of hits on Saturday, but didn't hook up I was using a homemade rig so maybe I need to modify it a little.
Is there anyone else fishing? I'm either in the wrong place or using the wrong techniques because I haven't got anything yet.
