Inland Sea white perch are biting!!
« on: Sep 07, 2016, 06:14 PM »
:o Champlain Inland Sea fishing??    Stopped by the Apple Island store for coffee.   Asked about fishing and I was told that most of the salmon trollers had turned to white Perch.  Looks like there are tons of nice white perch to be caught.   Hope somebody can take advantage of them and provide some pictures and a story?

That's all that the inland sea will be good for as far as down rigging goes, until the water starts to cool and the salmon move up towards the surface. I know that Whites are fun to catch and great table fair, but I'll have to wait until I won't have to worry about packing them in ice, but instead about them freezing to the ice.  ;)
perch bait on IS, if you couldn't figure that out on your own. ;)
