i caught a bunch of these chubs while fishing a lake erie harbor
tried e'm for bait while fishing for smallmouth bass--they hammer'd e,m
anyone else have any luck using this type of chub for bait
i,ll have to bring some to try next time i visit one of my favorite walleye lakes

They look like some sort of sculpin. Awesome bait but check your regs., they are not legal for bait in all areas.

I believe that's a goby, a non-native species to Lake Erie. Here in PA the fish commission tell everyone to kill all that are caught. Whatever you do don't transfer any to other lakes, they can cause alot of problems, from what I hear.

Yes Goby's are to be killed immediatly and DEP notified. They were introduced accidently and now are causing havic. Check those regs!!!!!
