The cutting board is a great idea!  Being able to see hooks will be a lot easier than on a dark maple table too, especially 18's...

I like that pattern :clapping:

I had an idea for my bench to make it a bit more durable and brighter. I bought a poly cutting board for $4 at the Dollar store and mounted it under my vise. I like the groove all the way around. Beads won't roll off onto the floor any more ;D

I've been using it for the last few hours. It's very easy on the eyes. Kind of a dull finish and you're right. You can see the hooks and stuff.

KP, If you show up....I'll deliver your flies ;D and buy coffee....and breakfast. There must be a Grumpy Old Man's Breakfast Club branch up there somewhere. ;D

Tied with "Mr. Scrat" and some of that Wood Duck you gifted me last year.

I love the muskrat for dubbing. I cut a small patch of hide and just pulled the long guard hairs out. Then I took a razor blade and shaved the underfur off at the skin. Nice, long grey fur with a hint of dark brown. Seriously easy to work with.

Thanks again Larry.

I like your poly cutting board idea. I will have one soon. Thanks! :)
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

Tip......Put a piece of non skid shelf liner under the cutting board. Wally World has rolls for a few shekels.
