Was able to sneak out after a long day of chores. With the cold front coming, they were chomping at the bit. Threw back a bunch of dinks, had fun with a few smallmouth and have a meal or two for my efforts.

I got out tonight for the first time. I ended with 3 keepers. 2 I caught deep and 1 was in 5’ of water after sunset. I dropped a couple more shallow. That wind was stiff making it a challenge.

They seem thinner than normal to me.

We came home today ..ended up 3 guys since Wednesday dozen keeper eyes…tons and tons of shorts and 60-70 perch..be fishing back my way now

Good trip, sounds like they were at least back on the bite. Shorts to keepers ratio is sure tipped in heavy favor of the shorts. Nice bumper catch of perch to boot!

That sounds about right....Fairly simple job, but does take a bit of time including a water test.
FWIW, Honda outboards do not like to even be pulled over dry let alone run dry. Especially after sitting for a while....
