Where are you staying thos three days. Assuming it's Anchorage you could drive down to the kenai and fish for rainbows or king. You could also drive up to the matsu and fish the rivers for bows and/or some of the stocked lakes. It's especially great if you have float tubes for the lakes but if you don't it is still great. In my opinion the best option would be willow or montana creek.

Yeah there are some pike lakes around but i don't know about all of them, don't fish for pike much i would visit the links below

http://www.sf.adfg.state.ak.us/region2/lakemaps/lakeanch.cfm

http://www.sf.adfg.state.ak.us/region2/lakemaps/lakemtsu.cfm

These pages show all the stocked lakes for anchorage and the mat su valley as well as the species of fish in the lake, size of the lake and how to get to them

I have landed one rainbow that looked about like that, and he weighed 17.6 lbs. He was way more orange and red with a dark green back and a hooked jaw. I caught and released him in the Colorado river in late January, with ice blocks the size of VWs floating down the river. Took about 20 minutes to land. Probably would have taken twice that long in warmer water. I have hooked ones even bigger than that but they go bye bye about as fast as an ice cube in the oven. The Colorado River and the Gunnison River in the Gunnison Gorge have Rainbows like this and some browns too.
