Also pics of the new plate he added between the transom and the kicker bracket and the trailering straps I had him fabricate.
The straps secure the motor from bouncing while trailering down the highway.
I have seen 2 of these same brackets let loose and it isn't a pretty sight.
The old plate on the transom was thin and flexing.
Also, the 5200 sealant was cracking and he only had large washers on the backside.
I had my buddy install a thick plate same size as the outside plate inside for more strength.
He used two full calkgun tubes of 5200 for everything.
Not cheap stuff, but the right way to do it.
