There's a magazine out there called "New York Game and Fish." I don't know whether or not this is the one you were thinking of Oak, but it's a good magazine all the same.

I was wondering the same question Madbomber, I have been looking for the mag too.  I loved that mag.  I thought the Ny Sportman was the best around.  Last year when I was in Georgia I purchased A Georgia Fish and Game and realized it had the same articles as the Ny FG during the same month.  Only a couple of local articles in it that were mostly statistics.  I still purchace NY FG once in a while.

Years back I had a subscription for New York Sportsman, it was the best at the time. If I remember correctly New York Sportsman ultimately was purchased by the NY Game and Fish monoply and ceased to exist.
