Title: Last shot at Winter Flounder
Post by: stripernut on Nov 05, 2019, 04:40 PM
Dad, his girlfriend (hard to call her that after 20 years together) and I took the boat down to Glouchester to see if we could still get a few winter flounder. After a nice sightseeing tour around the harbor, we hit our regular spot and came up empty. When we went to try another the engine started giving us trouble and we headed in. If the fish had been biting we would have worked at it, but it was chilly and no we could not get any seaworms.
I did get to play with my new Birthday present and AuquaView. I had one (2nd hand) years ago and was very happy with it and this one seems even better!
Even cool and a fouled plug (engine hate too much idling) we had a great time.

With the boat needing some work I am left with hoping I can get an invite for some Tautog...

My boats are winterized and taking a nap until April so no chance of a tog trip here Alan. I completely transition to the woods in November and its been a good one so far. 2 down with this corker.

That's a nice fatty deer right there Mike.  Nice work!  Good eating on the ice.

My boats napping too...also with outboard issues so sorry to hear that.

I also put down a corker...sadly it was with my Tahoe the night before last...head on, going 60 when I hit the brakes.

Deer slide fast on pavement.  That is all.

Sorry to hear that Jon.  They are getting frisky now.  I saw a bunch of eyes along the side of the road on my way home last night.  Glad they stayed put.

Now you need a new ice machine.

Thanks guys.  Truck will be fixed soon.  Its way too fishy to replace.  The deer hit the guardrail after I hit it and was rendered useless.

Congrats on all the deer! I also plan to hit the Chu at some point soon but after the great fall with all the lakers Will and I had on the Q, I think I will spend more time looking for Walleye...
