East and West Housatonic
« on: Aug 18, 2016, 09:38 PM »
I fished the East Housatonic in Dalton and the West Housatonic in Pittsfield from about 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM today.

A gorgeous day - - sunny, blue skies, temps in upper 70's, with a light breeze.

I started on the East Housatonic below the Depot Street bridge - - where I caught an 11" and a 12" brown.

I drove downstream and fished below the East Housatonic Street bridge for awhile, but without any results.

Then I drove to Pittsfield and fished the West Housatonic, first from the Greendale Avenue bridge to the boat store, and then under the Clapp Park trestle. There, all I managed to find were some small (3" - 7") dace and perch, and one feisty 8" sunfish.
