Title: Walleye, Perch, Crappie fishing near Omaha
Post by: Big Lumpy on Jul 24, 2012, 11:53 AM
Might be moving to Omaha area and I'm have NO idea what the fishing is like in Nebraska. especially near the Omaha area.  I'm looking for decent Walleye, Perch, Crappie fishing.  I know that the Western part of Nebraska is probably better. I'd like to keep my fishing drives to an hour or less if at all possible. Man, I'm going to miss the 4 hour trip to Lake Erie! :(

I can tell you now you'll get more responses on iceshanty.com..its a sister site to this one and ppl frequent it more often than here and share more info. I can tell you that perch are pretty slim on this side of the state!  I think there are a few private lakes that stock them but its just too hot..wanahoo would be good its a mile north of yahoo but it JUST opened to the public and no huge fish that I've heard of but nice ones.hope that helps a little
