Still waiting on the weather. This week coming doesn't look like anything special, but I've got my fingers crossed for a fair evening. Probably have to wear the ice fishing duds.

Good gosh guys those are some nice catches. Wish I wasn't so far away. If my lottery truck ever pulls in I'm going to have a home somewhere between a couple of those lakes.
     Keep those nice picks coming

Going to try the dry dropper this year. Thought about it before but I'm prone to tangles so just shied away from it.
Took a trip to the Fly Shack yesterday to add a few things to my arsenal. I decided to try just one of those Czeck indicators in Flo Green. Hopefully It won't become a bird's nest.  I added a few baby trout flies to the box to try for crappie. They do look like the real thing. Hope the fish think likewise.
Lastly, I decided on a Lamson liquid reel in smoke color to replace the piece of crap that I put on my new 9 ftr last season. They had a big run on those reels as I bought the very last one in a 5 wt.  ( they have a great deal on a 3 wt / 2 spare spools and carry bag)

I'm trying to locate some water where I can fish on foot for a while as everything local is buttoned up so tight that it requires launching a boat. Sometimes I'd just like to sneak out for a couple hrs and fishing on shore would be so much simpler.
Now we just need some nice weather without all this wind. Blows here all the time.

He is the best! He took care of me several times in a similar fashion when he had his shop open on winni. Helped me out by taking a piece of his boat so he could make my purchase whole. And his flies and lures are first rate!

Awesome bud - it is just so sad to see big box store who has ZERO customer service and concern destroying the little guy.  We all remember Washington Lure Co., gone.  I was reading Harry Lure is gone.  Not sure about Chappy's lures.    I'll stay with the little guy as long as they exist thank you very much, hope others feel the same way.

Wow! Time flies, my friend. It is good that you are passing on your love of fishing. I hope that you enjoy all the upcoming adventures with your daughter and appreciate how rewarding and fleeting this stage of life can be.

Nice to see you on here again.  Hope to see your posts and pics more often!

I haven't been on here for a long time. Great to read one of your posts Jim.  I always have enjoyed them.

Thanks, Wayne.  Our "early spring" has sure stalled.  It doesn't look great any time soon.  May need chest waders rather than the usual hip boots for the 4/1 brook opener.  Hopefully we see your browns on here soon!

Jim, You are the “Nutty fisherman” for open water fishing for 13 years .Just kidding !🥶 I always enjoy your posts seeing fish pics and landscapes . Hopefully April brings more fish to the net for you. After an early ice out the last 3 weeks waiting to troll have been painful for me.
