I’ll post some pics on how I turn a birdhouse. I’ve watched countless videos of guys doing them and they’re all wrong. Wood wasters they are!

Gotta make some feet and hands for the Santa’s today. Assembled 5 more of the little square houses this morning. Then I went fishing for more perch. Started raining so…it’s time for a nap.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Santa’s and sleighs and ornaments.

A bunch of reindeer in the works.

Keeps an old man busy and it’s good for the brain and hands.

Makes the recipients smile and that’s  good for the soul.

Been turning ornaments along with working on other Christmas presents.

Turned this one today from Black Palm.

A challenge to turn but super pretty.

Persistent maybe. Talented….well….I don’t know about that.

I do enjoy turning these little ornaments this time of year. I get a lot of smiles in return. Good for the soul.

I do turn some, but those came from Amazon. 48 of them for around $13.

Decided to turn some little ornaments from some exotics I have laying around.

This one is Patagonian Rosewood.

There’s no finish on this piece. I took it to 12000g micro mesh and it polished with its natural oils.

I’ve got some Brazilian Ebony and Lignum Vitae to try next. Maybe some Redheart and Mopane too.

My Bride likes them. That’s all that really counts. Fussy little things to turn. Keeps me thinking.
