Loomis Lake
« on: May 31, 2020, 08:19 AM »
I took my kayak to Rogers Lakewood Park. There water between the ramp and the main body had a large amount of weeds. I have been there other years and never noticed the weeds that thick. Is this normal for this lake?

Maybe another invasive nusiance macrophyte? I would contact your local district biologist for an answer. They are listed on the INDNR website under Fish & Wildlife here:

That Front bay by the Launch has always been full of weeds out to the Channel to the east.  Its very shallow, that front bay was the only thing I know of in the area to Freeze over so people could fish last winter.  Well unless you had fish in your Bird Bath!!!!
