O.K. all you crusty salty old fishermen! Who knows what this creature is?? We hooked it in 200ft. of H2O, while fishing in Prince William sound. We called it a seavag___a, but being in poor taste, need a proper name for this deep ocean beast! Attached to it's "sucker" is a 20 lb. rock so naturally my partner "thought" he had the big one on! HAHAHA, little did he know....

Not a clue :-\! That has got to be one of the stangest things I have ever seen. I hope someone can identify it just to cure my curiosity.

Somebody probably glued that rock to it and threw it back so they wouldnt see it again, lol Man thats weird.

I would call it. Nothing I want to stick in my mouth. :-X :-X

I believe it is a sea anemone, in its closed position. When they are open they look like big flowers kind of. When something hits one of the "petals" they close up and try to catch and eat it. ;)

akdg has it right..it's an anemone. Almost like a combo of plant and animal. Some of them are poisonous and can sting like a jellyfish.

This is no ordinary bearded clam...it's the elusive Alaskan bearded clam, the rarest of all bearded clams. It's known as a prize catch among male Inuits. ;D ;D
