Lake michigan and tributaries this time of year.
« on: Jun 13, 2014, 02:22 PM »
I had a quick general question for anyone that knows the area.  I'm going on a family trip, leaving in a couple of hours, and was wondering where to start my fishing expedition.  I will be staying at the state park and do not have a boat.  Should I try a creak this time of year like Salt Creek which might be the closest.  Are there any Salmon or Trout right now.  Or  find a public fishing pear and try for pearch or are they out deep this time of year.  I'll have fun fishing for anything but was wondering about these two species and these two locations this time of year.  Any general help would be appreciated.  I was just looking for where to start.  Thanks.

I have t heard a report recently but I'd encourage you to go to the Michigan City Pier area, lot of. I've bank fishing there. Drop by Chefs bait shop and they will have some direction for you. Still early for the the ska mania I think,
Crappie, Bass, Gills, Eyes, Pike, anything that swims!!
