Down East Fishing Trip
« on: May 15, 2020, 06:07 AM »
Headed up to dads camp in down east Maine last week for some fishing and reflection. Lost dad to cancer the end of April. He loved the outdoors and loved salmon and lake trout fishing. It was preblack fly season so was able to open up the camp without there help. Weather was classic spring weather with off and on showers and some snow over the weekend. Fishing was slow but managed to get a few and had a nice salmon meal and chowder. Let all fish go but the two salmon. Brookie was 14 inches but have to be 18 inches on our lake. You can see a video of my dad fishing in Labrador back in the 70s with my uncle on You Tube. Don Marsh goes fishing. Photo of dad with some walleyes from a Quebec trip two years ago. Glad we took that trip together. Run out of room to post dads photo. Tight lines.

I'm sorry for your loss. I wish my Dad had been a fisherman.

Sorry for your loss.  I looked for the YouTube clip but couldn't find it.  Wanted to post it for you.

He is the link to dad's video. Donny Marsh goes fishing. Posted by my cousin when dad was going through cancer treatments. Bought him another six months with time in Fl, but no more fishing.

Tight lines, thanks for the condolences.
