Upstate NY - North Country Flooding
« on: Jul 11, 2023, 03:36 PM »
I have been seeing awful photos of the floods in the Blue Mountain Lake Area. We have a trip planned up near Crown Point this weekend and I was wondering
if that area has been at all affected by the recent rains / floods.

Thanks in advance,

Jeremy

Lot of distance between BML and Crown Point.  Call Ted's bait and tackle and I bet you can get that answered.

Is Ted's bait & tackle the same as Norm's Bait & tackle?

It happens! Good luck.
I believe I am headed up this weekend for some catfishing. I have previously caught a handful of 20 lb cats up there.

We had a few scary moments this evening. A line of storms went thru as we received text message from the sheriff's dept to head for the cellar. It got bad just to the north of us in Fulton Co. but we were spared any damage. Whew... All peaceful now.

Oh man. I live in Saratoga County, but work in Warren and received some scary texts from National Grid.  80 mph winds and flying debris!

Glad everyone is safe.

62, the wind blew here for just a few minutes pretty hard, the rain was not that heavy but someone got a pretty good storm. I heard lots of thunder but never saw a flash of lighting. I lights went off a couple times but only for about a minute. Yesterday afternoon about 2:30 went to the post office and the lake at the Northville bridge was rolling some honest 2 to 3 footers...h2l

Saw a few pictures of long lake by the hotel, wow,I believe many roads are still closed or 1 lane. Still more rain and storms for a few days. We had a short thunderstorm run thru about 530 am in Niskayuna  . Be safe if traveling in the north country.
