I was thinking of hitting the shorelines tonight. Are they in close enough to get them from shore or are they still out aways? I don't want to make the drive if it is poor shore fishing, thx.

Went shore fishing to Chapman Park last night, I got 0. Some fish were biting but by 10 the wind died and they shut down. Guys that were catching them were using green or purple Thundersticks. Talked to a guy who said he went Friday night, and there was a huge bite at 3:am when the wind picked up and stirred it up. Guess I gotta keep at it.

Nice job deadeyez ! Fished the I1 baits tourney this weekend and struggled on tourney day to get momentum going . Prefishing did solid fish Friday and plucked away at fish all day during flat calm conditions . Yesterday during tournament could only manage 4 keepers and 3 shorts . Oh well it's fishing and learn new experiences each time on Oneida . Winning weight was 13.47 I believe. Lots of people struggled and the bass guys prevailed in the shallows as it usually goes hit or miss this time of year . Back at it this week

It sounds like it is a struggle right now.
Nice job to the guys that have been doing good.
We opened up camp yesterday and my mom and son got out for a quick trip. We caught one nice Atlantic and dropped one in an hour.
I got out on Oneida for the last 2 hours of light. Ended up with 2 perch, 2 smallies, a rocky, and a short eye. I dumped a couple of decent eyes.
Oh and I went turkey hunting for the first 2 hours and saw 3 jakes, but never had a good shot.
I love the month of May.
Stay after them guys!!!

Good updates everyone, awesome land lock Bruce, Red 1 is a fishing machine!...I went out to the big lake today for a couple hours to play with the down riggers...I'm in a slump, I couldn't even manage a Lake Trout...I did mark some good pods of bait and active fish for the short time I was out...but I couldn't get one to go...a storm rolled in and I bounced...looking forward to some vacation next week and the long weekend...!

Trolled Black River Bay on Saturday. Got there at daybreak and there wasn't any boats around at all. By 8 they were everywhere. Didn't catch any eyes, but landed a huge sheepy. Had something bite one line clean off without even pulling it out of the release! Probably a northern. Hope to hit up Oneida this week.
Thanks for the reports. Nice looking Atlantic Bruce!
