Here's a boat for ya
« on: Apr 27, 2006, 08:01 PM »
Here's one for ya.  ;D  I ran in to this old timer tonight on my way out of the woods, and this was what he was going to be using tomorrow in some remote ADK ponds.  The wheels slide in a channel on the bottom of the boat right under were it is now, load your gear in and start pulling on the old lawnmower handle welded  to the bow.  I didn't see it in the water so I don't know how stable it is  ::)  Kind of a cool idea.

now that is a very cool 1/2 canoe on wheels there.  :o just right for ADK backwoods fishing.  :thumbup_smilie:
Fishing isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more important than that!

I live with FEAR everyday, and sometimes she lets me go fishing!

A very good friend of our family used a boat very simular to this for duck hunting in the "Swamp".  Very easy for an guy thats up there in age to move around, and it was stable enough for him and his dog.  Used mainly just to cross wide creeks and rivers but wasn't used to "Hunt" in for the most part.  Looks like a great rig for hauling out a deer from the woods.
