you know that's a good guestion and i'll tell you why .... wen hunting wit a bow or crossbow you can use either bow or archery tag .... it says your crossbow is legal during regular gun season ...I tend to think you can't use the special season tags during the regular season but I would call the regional office to make sure
You can hunt during the regular (gun) season with a bow/crossbow/muzzleloader but cannot use the special season (archery/muzzleloader) tags.  You must use your regular season buck tag or DMP tag.

Getting an antibiotic because you were bit before actually being diagnosed is crazy and puts you in worse shape in the future that’s exactly what is not recommended by most doctors because of new strains of infections being immune to them and it takes up to a couple months for lyme to be detected

A single dose of
doxycycline can lower the risk of Lyme disease when:
• The tick bite occurred in a state where Lyme
disease incidence is high (Figure 1) or in an area
where >20% of ticks are infected with Borrelia
burgdorferi. Contact your local health department
for information about tick infection rates in
your area.
• The attached tick can be identified as an adult or
nymphal blacklegged tick (Figure 2).
• The estimated time of attachment is ≥36 hours
based on the degree of tick engorgement with
blood or likely time of exposure to the tick
(Figure 3).
• Prophylaxis can be started within 72 hours of
tick removal.
• The patient has no contraindication to doxycycline.

from the  CDC website  the link is  in a prior post  ....I suggest no one  take medical advice  here   call  your doctor  or  go to a  urgent care or ER LYME disease is nothing to fool around with  ......my post was merely meant to show I took all the precautions  and still was  biten   I  take  medical advice  from my doctor  and  go to a  urgent care  ..... I suggest everyone  do the same

I have been busy with home repairs, boiler replacement, babysitting, etc, to get out much. I have managed to fill 3 tags so far. Like others here I hunt mainly for meat for my daughter's family and us. I grind 2-300 pounds of burger along with roasts, etc. 10-11 deer does us good. It has been a great season for a few of my friends and they have all the deer they need. Got a call yesterday and lo and behold, I now have 4 more donor deer from them. Looks like I will be doing more bologna, summer sausage, hot dogs, and other lunch meats to mix things up.
Best part is, My projects will be wrapped up by Thanksgiving. Boiler will be in Wednesday, firewood is in, everything winterized. Now I can get out and live in the woods for a few weeks. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
