New here. Skipper, I followed the invite over from Ice Shanty. Same name over there as well as on others. Where I live I think is obvious from my user name. Age, old to some, young to others. Actually I will be eligible for early(62) SS at the end of this year. Fish for anything that is willing to bite because I'm not that good at it, but I enjoy it anyway. Sometimes I may just sit there for hours with a line in the water, if something bites, that's a plus for the day in my book.

Welcome.

Sometimes it is about the fishing, not so much the catching. ;)

river fishing! no boat needed!

There are parks on the Mississippi from Itasca to the Gulf of Mexico. You can get into some pretty ugly stuff in there with a bottom rig and a gob of crawlers. :o

Do you know when they are pulling the pin? You would think they try to capitalize from the fishing opener before they started clearing stuff out. ???

I'm Papadarv AKA Darv, live in East Bethel MN across the street from Coon Lake north side between lake and Viking Blvd. Came over from invite at Ice Shanty same name used on both sites. Love both hard and soft water fishing. Fish lot of lakes north of the cities as well as some up-north in Cass, Ottertail counties, LOTW etc. Maybe do a few lakes in the Alexandria area this summer.

Hello, I have a question and was thinking that someone here might be able to shed some light on the subject.
I'm looking at a small fishing camp up on Leech Lake. The only thing is I can buy the place but the land under the camp is Indian Land and has to be leased.
Would anyone have any information on Indian tribal lease's.. pro's and or con's?

  Dwight

Hello Golden Gophers,
This Wolverine is going to Birch Lake near Babbitt this June. Any suggestions for Walleye and Pike lures would be appreciated. Thanks.
