After having a couple saltwater trips fall thru, my father and I rented a boat on Quabbin to see what we could get... After a late start (Dad hates getting up in the morning) and getting the last boat to rent (9:00 AM), we got on the water... The engine was in terrible shape and shook the boat at any speed... Most of the fish were deep and we did not have any outfits for trolling down there. I did get a nice FAT SM, in about 30ft of water on a blade bait;
It does not look it but it is about 4 lbs...
Dad got the skunk but we still had a great time and even had a mink climb out on some rocks to check us out, then jumped in the water and swam up to the boat! I think he would have jumped in, but I had to start the motor to keep us from drifting into the rocks... The camera was in the bag and we were busy watching it.
Even with out doing that all that well it was still a great day on the water;
