They are totally different sunfish. You may be able to run a search on Google and it should show some pictures of both.

hit it right on the head of the nail. Man I love catching those guys out of the creek by the house in the summer, big fat rockbass too. On my homemade worm spinners. :D

They are both Quivers in my book....................they both bite the tails off your rubber worms and in my neck of the woods certain folk fish for them with bobbers the size of basketballs and ocean surf casters with 20 lb test. They both make good fertalizer for your garden as well.
