I made this post for people that maybe forgot their card or didn't meet the criteria of the derby.

Did you jig those bad boys up? Iv been meaning to find a better way to catch bigger walleye but, I am very new to walleye fishing. I usually fish for trout but, I enjoy catching walleye. My problem is that I have only been catching small ones, around 12". Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds simple and stupid but it always helps when looking for bigger fish...try a bigger bait/different colors of lures. I have caught walleyes on the dumbest looking things (bright goofy colors of lures).

1/16th ounce short shank jighead in hot pink dangled below a thill center slide slip float. Bait was large black leeches. Hot pink was the trigger because my partner that day was schooled pretty bad using a yellow one! ;D

Yep, the pond. It has slowed down considerably unless you are looking for keepers. Compared to most lakes though, the big ones are still biting pretty dang good! ;D
