Went to the garden at my daughter's for some goodies. Got some cukes and tomatos for a salad. I also picked a bunch of pumpkin blossoms to batter and fry. I haven't had them in years. They were as good as ever. Combined with fresh sweet corn, my wife's meatloaf and mashed taters it was a meal fit for a king. I can't move now. Overstuffed.

Half a chicken getting happy in the fridge for dinner. Side of zucchini and onions and garden red taters…..in parchment on the Weber.
Cheese and crackers for a nosh with a cocktail. (I start mowing at 4:30 am. This is early evening for me)

We have 2 lobster stuffed smaller portabella mushrooms for an appetizer.
One ribeye steak is rubbed and ready for the grill - we always split a steak.
I will sauté some onions, garlic and mushrooms in EVOO and butter.
And we will clean up the left-over pasta salad Donna made the other day.

Some cold cubed watermelon and cantaloupe for dessert.

And before I get cooking the shrooms, I think I'll mix up a bourbon manhoot...........or two.

Came home from Syracuse a bit ago hungry for pasta so made some linguine and thawed out a container of walleye cheeks and made a butter garlic sauce finished with cream and parsley..had celery, garlic onion and pieces of zucchini in it wife loved it ...me too!
