All my grandson has been talking about since before Christmas is buying a live lobster. I said they are pretty expensive. He said "I've got enough of my Christmas money to buy one". Well he and his sister came down yesterday. Both were good and even refilled the wood racks for the stove.
As a reward I went and bought 4 of them. Took out some venison steaks for a surf and turf. They ate theirs and half of Papa's and grandma's. It was great seeing them enjoy it. Poor pictures, but here is Lincon holding Jerry and Fred. He named them.

Roasted some chicken thighs then made pot of chicken barley soup...really good day for it

They were 19.95/ pound. About 1.25 pound average. Pricy, but I haven't had lobster in over 30 years so I bit the bullet.

Meals look great everybody. Today marks 2 months since I wet a line so forced to buy fish. This recipe was a winner (recipe included) - glazed salmon.

My good neighbor gifted us some venison meatballs. (Really good.) Had linguini with meatballs last night. Meatball subs tonight with the leftovers.

Made a bunch of corned venison hash...came out great ...will be corning more to make a bunch for freezer
