Had a good day on Cayuga today...buddy and me limited on some real decent gills....25-35 fow. Split the up between him, me and an old couple on my meals on wheels route....they love gills.

Here it is the last week in September and the perch bite has been non existent for me so far.  In between walleye trips to Erie, I have searched Cayuga, irondequoit, Port Bay and Charlotte pier.  I am catching a few, but there are no schooling fish so far.  Maybe the two days of rain and cooling temps will get them going.  Anyone having better luck out there?

I wish that was my cooler too. I love perch. I finally rebuilt the transom in my boat last week. I went to Silver Monday and managed to take 11 perch home for a fish fry. Nothing huge, but an 8" avg. As soon as this rain stops, I want to try to get a few more before deer starts for mid winter surf and turf . Two years off the water was too much.

Sorry to hear but glad it's not just me.....two trips to Canandaigua and a couple shore stops along LO with little to show.  Crossed the Ibay bridge 4 times last weekend and not a perchjerkin' boat in sight.
