Post by: Rodrunner on Jun 15, 2011, 08:43 PM

working dog names should always be one syllable so I vote for sage... Nice looking pup. We will hopefully be moving soon and getting my wife a lab as a service dog

You have the makings of a fine dog there. I have 3 black labs. When I lost my alaskan husky I looked for a "companion" type dog. Had a lab years ago so that was what I wanted. Foung some pups about 60 miles away and went to look. Had a chocolate female I fell in love with. He would not sell her, Wanted more chocolate pups to sell. Had a huge blockhead male. Told me blockheads were worthless. I bought him for 100. Took my shirt off and made him a bed on seat and took him home. Seller was right "you cant teach blockheaded dogs nothin". It was born in him. He was pointing birds in the yard by 4 months, He is one of the best bird dogs I have ever had. Weighs 132 pounds and not a drop of fat on him. Get comments on how beautiful he is all the time. Looks like he is chiseled from stone. He has been my "mostest bestest friend" for 8 years now. Named him Konan. Hope you enjoy your as much as i enjoy mine.   Steve

not sure why blockheads are worthless..........isnt that what a male lab is supposed to be ::)          any pics of that 132# er          would like to see a huge lab that is not a tube........really they r not supposed to be that big....most of the time when people say they have a lab over 100# the dog is just way outta shape :(        my lab zeke just passed and he avg'd around 65#.........no hunting or real work just running for frisbees everyday ;D kept him trim!
