lets see some old or rare rod or reels

been picking up some older rods and reels would like to see what else is out there.also what rods and reels i should keep an eye out for.post some pics some of these old timers are pretty cool.

guess i will start it off with this one.remember i do not know much about old reels so i'm not sure if these are junk or collectible.this is a  GOLDEN CUB  i picked up and have never seen another one like it.pretty small reel but i saw it and had to have it lol.

the old zebco cardinal  series  made in sweden. one of the best reels ever made.   very collectable

Here's a pair I bought at a garage sale last summer, Shakespeare 1700 and a metal Zebco from the fifties. Great reels.   Don  ;D

Old guy I got em (buck apiece) from said they'd been on the shelf for years in his gargage, al they needed was fresh gear-grease and a little oil, yeah, I always have liked the Zebcos. Hey thanks for posting this thread, the your reels are pretty cool, been a while since I've seen a Cub that nice a shape.              ;D                       Don

just see them and buy them.i guess you could say i collect them but i have no idea which ones are worth $.have a bunch of rods and reels i do not want to keep out by the road in our garage sale right now.

I have a few that we've come across during garage sales.  I mostly use them for decoration in the man cave.

That's where mine live right up to time to stuff them and their collapsible spin rod in a pack and hit the high lakes for trout, very dependable lil guys both  ;D

i will have to get a pic of the zebco 77 i have.the reel is built into the rod.
