Those Normak ice rods were called "Thrumming" rods    Had the little trigger that jigged the rod when pulled.     We used to use them in the 70's on Sandy Pond.
  They still make them and they're still used in Europe quite a bit !    Cool old piece !

Thanks for the memory. This was the first rod and reel I had as a kid, around 1966.

Here is a Revelation  Baitcast rod and reel combo sold by Western Auto Supply Co.   The bottom half is steel and the top fiberglass

have a nice metal rod i got at a garage sale a few years ago.2 months after i picked up the rod there i bought the garage and the rest of the house lol.

got them old penns also mine just has the pearl handle
and a ole level line 350
and the only budweiser i ever liked  ;D
pow you need to find a aa club for garage saling and start using some of them rods...lol

Here is a picture of my best Prized Old reel.  I was told when given as a gift that this reel was bought new in the 1950's.  It has never been used.

Great stuff!  That Orvis 100A is awesome!

Here's what I have decorating the man cave.  All need to be cleaned BADLY!  The 300 and 314 are so packed full of vaseline that you'll build Popeye forearms trying to turn the handle. ;D
