Reminds me of a day on Squam Lake in NH some years ago. While going across the lake we spotted something unusual and once we go close enough it was a Bull Moose swiming to an island. We followed at a good distance and watched him climb onto the island and chow down on blueberries.
No pictures just  memories.
Thanks for the picture.

I was able to sneak up on this guy and 2 other Toms this morning in a small field behind my house.

This is my first fall Turkey.

Looks like he was molting.

Took my little man out yesterday a.m.... had a 6 point 10 yards from blind.. as he drew back his cam hit roof.. buck ran off...
This a.m... for came in same spot.. drew back on her and she sensed movement and darted off...
15 min later... a buck showed up SAME TRAIL.. he ended up 7 yards from blind...
After 2 min (I recorded the whole thing) boy was able to draw back.. and smoked this guy... 13 years old.. not a SMASHER.. but a hell of a buck for first deer and first deer with a bow AND from the ground WITH A BOW
I could be happier... his excitement after he shot was unmatchable
