Went to Warsaw Looking for Eyes............

Tried my Luck at my favorite Warsaw Lake looking for Walleyes,Boated one small eye but got into a bunch of nice size Gills.They were sitting in a small drop off from four feet to about  ten feet and the action was non -stop.  Also got a couple of crappies in the mix,All in All a good day..................

Sounds like you might have stumbled on some beds. 

It's nice to target a specific species and have success, but sometimes you have to take what the lake gives you.

I agree,we went to the same spot we were catching walleyes,but on that day the gills were willing.
You just never know ? Thats what makes our sport so interesting,On Sunday we had some bigger fish
grab our baits, we were unable to hook up,they just weren't aggressive that day,glad I put the rain gear in the boat,cause we sure needed it........Can't wait to see what is biting  this coming weekend ?

Yes we did,two weekends ago got a couple of walleyes 16'' to 20'' .....
Going back this holiday weekend,thanks for the info on the other web site,I will have to give that a try....

I was wondering.  Spent a lot of time there this past winter on the ice.  The only place I could catch fish was in the small bay(little eagle) out from the public launch.  However, last summer I could only catch fish around the ne corner.

We "stumbled" on some beds today!  All were over 7inches and a few were over 9.  After a while we started throwing anything under 8 inches back.  Good times!

Hey Edge,
Nice group of gills,fish yesterday caught a couple of decent catfish in the 5-6 Lb. range.Had to use the rain gear again,but it was great weather for fishing not to hot.Two guys caught 6 really nice walleyes,we struck out on the eyes.Going back today with rain gear in tow.......... Fish - On !!!!!!

My sister almost canceled on me to begin with yesterday.  Apparently a nice thunderstorm was moving through the Wabash area when she woke up.  It sprinkled on us early, but we didn't even use our rain gear.
