Time to hit the lake this week, water will be warming up fast with the temps they say we’re going to have this week. Don’t know what day yet but will let you know when we decide, H2l will you be going out soon. That’ a nice brown Dave caught.

Fished for about 1 hour before we figured it out. Sal schools of fish busting the top of the water. At first, I thought it was baitfish being chased by a big fish. Once I realized that they were crappie, I changed a couple poles and put a 32oz. jig with twister tail no sinker or minnow and we trolled in 10 to 32 fow. Marked bunches of fish in the 10-to-26-foot range but couldn't buy a bite. Beautiful day. Fished for 5 1/2 hours and kept 50 crappies most 9 and 10 inches. The largest pushing 13. Got 3 bonus gills. Fish trap is next on the bucket list. Trolled at 1.2 mph. Still were holding eggs. My fingers are chewed up from cleaning. got enough crappie in freezer. Time to start on the gills., then it is perch time. Can't wait.

Had to go to a tenor uke and guitar a few years back. Broken left wrist (some 40 years ago) made it impossible to fret a 6 string chord. Broke my heart to sell my Taylor GA. But it went to a guy who could give it justice. Beautiful piece with an amazing tone.

At this point I pick around on the couch in the evening. My Bride is my only audience. Just as well I guess.

Sorry to hear about your broken wrist. I would go into depression if Ii couldn't play my guitar anymore.

Taylor's make nice guitars! Sometimes I wonder if I should have gone with a Taylor over my Martin.

Not any real difference I know of, each person has their preference. Good luck.

Pretty amazing... 180 some views and no opinions...  I have not intentionally fished Max for gills but have caught several nice ones while fishing for whatever else would bite.  My technique was trolling twister tails on 1/16 oz jigs with either a tiny piece of worm or bee moth.  This also catches perch and the rock bass with an occasional smallie or walleye.  I have an acquaintance that tells me he trolls crawler harnesses for walleyes on bottom bouncers and randomly catches a nice gill or two.  I would encourage you to just go and try some different techniques.  Max is such a fun place to fish during the week.  You never know what you are gonna catch and you can try many different techniques with the hope you are only a cast away from figuring something out.  Go enjoy...
