Don't misunderstand my post.  These shops aren't all close to me.  They are close to the areas that I like to fish the most.  I grew up just a short drive from Roscoe in the heart of the Catskills and fly fishing country.  Now I live in NH five hours away from where I grew up.  I wish I still lived in the Catskills, but my work is here and my wife is from NH.

Hey Mick, I've been meaning to stop in to the fly shop in the Mill.  Any good?  I live in Sherburne, about 40 minutes away.

Also, Check out the Cortland Factory Store in Cortland, NY.  You can get some unreal deals on top quality gear.  Close outs and last years fly rods for 1/2 off and more.
