My tackle box always builds up dew in it and gets wet. All my tackle then starts to rust if I dont get to it every morning. Is there anything I can put in each box to prevent moisture  or rust?

I use a desiccant pack
they work great
If the rule is 5 fish or 5 pounds, what if the 5th fish weighs 5 pounds?

Are you using a metal or plastic box?

Just a thought but what if you just sprayed a light coating of wd-40 in there . it dissipates moisture and Ive been told that it is made of fish oil so it works well as an attractant too.
All fisherman lie , except for you and me and I not sure about you .

Dessicant packs work great.  Usually get one in just about every children's toy my kids get.  I just save them and put them in the tackle box after every use.  No problem with rust.

Flambeau boxes have Zerust, they claim it is a rust inhibitor, I just got one, will let you know!

I think the best thing you can do to prevent rust is to keep your tackle boxes inside. It seems that moisture will condensate in boxes left outdoors even if no rain falls. For the price of some of my lures I will gladly take the time to lug my boxes inside, or back the boat into the garage.

At the end of every season, I always open up all of my boxes in my home and let them air out. I have also observed that rust spreads like cancer. When something does develop rust scale, I always clean it thoroughly and clean the compartment that it occupied.

Dessicant packs.  They are cheap if you need to buy them.  I keep them in my tackle box, terminal box and tool box.
Some People are like slinkies... they are not really good for anything, but... they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

The best way is to bring your tackle box in and open it up every time you come back from fishing.  I used to do that, then I'd have the girlfriend take a soft cloth and wipe down all my lures, wash and dry the bottom of the box and put everything back.  Sometimes I really miss her! :-\

I have heard that a sock with dry rice in it will work to absorb dampness, but I have never tried it.
