I heard Douglaston bought more land this year.  A guy on another forum said they purchased the far side of the black hole all the way upstream to the island.  He said they tried to fish there Monday I believe, and Douglaston bank walker told them they were trespassing and even showed them some official documentation that they purchased that land.   Bad news, we really liked fishing that side, not too many people venture to that side and allowed us to avoid the tight liners while we float fish.  The elitists are moving upstream even further

From what I was told many years ago they owned that side all the way to the small island on the south side , that was back when Fred was the caretaker , but they never really enforced it , there use to be posted signs on the south side , I'm going back maybe 20 or more years ,
