My earliest fish on the Salmon was on August 10Th, 2001 on the estuary below the 103 bridge.  I was surprised to see a pod of fish swimming below the bridge.  Got a feeling it will take the extra water of Labor Day to get them moving this year.  Based on what the boats are doing, I am not expecting a good year, but hope springs eternal...

I got clips from the news paper with some buds, 1 was August 7 in 1978 and another posted in the paper aug 17 , 1981 so I believe they were caught a few days before , taken from the willow tree hole (Barclays)to the staircase

Thanks. Got a couple more the same size in the first hour Saturday morning then it died for me. I don't know much about these salmon and what will get them moving but I can tell you I never saw a screen so loaded with fish as I saw out there Friday night. Almost as many fish as there were boats chasing them on Saturday.

Nice job Chow!  I have been out and not done well...broke off one fish that was pretty disappointing, I must have had a nick in the line somewhere...I agree I marked piles of big fish everywhere but I couldn't find any cold water.  You did well! I also found a fray on both my down rigger cables...I'm glad they didn't break off, I had to cut them above and re-terminate...I stopped at Woody's and bought a couple new weapons, I should be ready to go for next time...

Wow. You got zoomed in on that. Good eye. Not sure when it opened but luckily I saw it and closed it before sending it back out.

Fish are out from probably 100-200fow. Wouldn't think it'll take en long to run the 3 miles to the rivers once they're ready.

Thanks, hunt. Fish were picky. All at the same depth with basically the same setup. Dragged a bunch of other stuff around and nothing else moved.
