Son of a biscuit!   :-\
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

The gauge said no pressure  so I took the lid off..   The lid bent the range hood into a v.  4 of the 5 quarts blew out and exploded on the floor burning our legs..  thank goodness  my wife only got a little but I took the blunt of it..

only  because I  do  some  canning   and I  have a  healthy fear  of the pressure canner when I  use  it I  ask .... wasn't  the  vent  lock popped up telling  you   the  canner  still had  pressure in it?????

Wow, glad you were all right. And good of you to post this as a warning.
I think I personnaly will avoid any pressure cooker/canners.
Amazing about the grafts from pigs too.

Anyone read the river article in the latest field and stream ? Some more national coverage should be great for the town ;-).  Must be a misprint about the chromer limit.

well  thank  goodness it  wasn't  worse   and  it's a  blessing your  wife  wasn't burned  as  bad .....  makes  me  think  ...check and recheck  and  follow all safty  instructions  and  yes the  new  ones   are safer  with the  pressure  vent  lock  you can  see theres  still pressure  in the  canner  ....

Geeze, you're a walking, talking football Dom!

Think I'll stick with a hot water canner. You're a tough old bird to recover. Glad you did.
