Trap Pautzke stuff is pretty good.   I like to mix their products together a little bit to get the best results.  I honestly don't think it's much better than plain old borax for skein.   Btw, jello packets work great for coloring eggs when curing, just mix it up with the borax before you put it on the eggs.  For loose eggs though I really do love the Pautzke liquid brine.   I just follow the directions on the bottle and the eggs come out perfect for spawn sacs every time.   A little trick, I add a 1/2-1 cup of brown sugar in with the brine (might need tp heat it to get it all to dissolve, then let cool to room temperature before putting the eggs in).  We did awesome last year on steelhead with brown trout and coho eggs I did with that recipe.  As long as you dry them out a bit beforehand you can freeze them and use them as far out as 3 years later I've seen

Did a lot of driving around today. Checked south sandy, no water no fish. Checked black hole. Some people had fish but it was slow. Altmar was dead. Stopped for lunch and then made the drive to Oswego again. Got there at 5. Caught another pretty brown just a little bigger than yesterday. But he had a real nice kype on him at 6.5 lbs 23".

Every fisherman is a liar. Except for me of course!
