Swivels or Knots

Just wondering if using snap swivels effects anything, or is it just better to tie the lures on?
What types of knots do you guys use?

Snap swivels i find are nice for Quick change of lures (duh lol) But i also use Fireline and its a pian to have to keep Re-tying....And Palomer Knots are nice to use.

I seldom use snap swivels...but I'm a "knot - head" ...I like knots.
I think snap swivels can affect the action of most lures. More often I'll use a barrel swivel in line with the lure or rig to prevent line twist and make quick change easier.
Try "No Knot" clips to attach your lure to the line. They're much smaller and work very well.

When I use spinners while trolling, I always use a swivel. Otherwise the line gets all twisted up! But for cranks or ? I tie the line.

Well I use inline swivels mostly if I need one at all and it's usually species specific . The snap swivels I may use in combination with an inline swivel if I'm jigging a spoon . I hate alot of extra on my line specially close to the lure because as has been stated here already I believe it takes away from the action . I also rarely use leaders for this same reason even with pike . I tie an inline swivel to my line then add a length of spiderwire to it as a leader .
