terrova hooked to helix 9 g2

Ok trying to help a friend set up a new Terrova trolling motor to a Helix 9 gen 2.  The cable for the transducer is a small silver colored   5 pin but the only cable listed to connect it to the helix is a large 14 pin?  He had is connected to a Lowrance finder before.  Am I correct in that you have to put a transducer on the trolling motor to connect it to the new Helix?  Thank you for any help?

There may be a way to hook it up, but the built in transducers are set up for specific brands and models.  Not sure you can go from Lowrance to Humminbird.  Maybe an adapter?  Id contact MinnKota....

I had to buy the adaptor to hook my hummingbirds up to my I-pilot, I can hook up my helix 7 to the transducer in the bow mount just have to run the cable with the adaptor to it so I usually just take my potable that I use for ice fishing and hook that up when I want to use the bow mount and see what is below.
