Monster Champlain Walleye
« on: Jun 28, 2020, 09:28 AM »
Gave up on crowded NH launches.  Went west to my little Grand Isle camper.  My son Dave beat me to it and was on the water chasing pike and bass.  Over the years we had big walleye follow lures to boat but never a strike.  This walleye was happy to eat Dave's chartreuse soft bait.  I'm looking forward to fish fry.

Very nice eye. Any weight or length? That will teach you Dick to sleep in late.  ;D

It’s not being Cocky if you can back it up.

Denny fish was taken in early evening while I made the two hour drive from Littleton.  It was almost 27"  but Dave didn't think it made 6 lbs.  He took some pike that will go into deep fryer.
I hope to go back this week but I'll only have my 12' aluminum and electric motor.  I plan to drift shiners and crawler harnesses.
