It's an effort in silliness really. I was sitting there watching it a while ago, having a beer and counting the drops on each revolution. It's very random4,4,5,4,4,4 1/2 (one failed to drop, and almost a repeat of that pattern but not exactly.

Being myself, my first reaction was to redesign the pulley system to time it with the piston pump and drop only 3 bearings as a time............nah!

It's a chaotic little thing anyway. Why shouldn't the bearings drop randomly.

Time for some cleanup and finish. Then...on to the spiral loft for the next one.

I like Mark's music.

Starting to work up the next machine. Made a little mock up of the motor works. This one's going to have a vertical spiral lift. I'm shooting for a modular theme with 4 routes made of repurposed stuff. Gonna stay away from any wire on this one. Using wood and metal objects for tracking and sounds.

I'm finding these things to be very addictive.

Picked up a sewing machine at Goodwill for $10. I figure it'll have gears and shafts and a motor I can use for the next machine.

Variable speed. Geared right it would have enough torque👍

Took a break from the machine to build a magnetic RBS board.

My son and I are gonna play with it for a while then I'll donate it to my Dauhter's Child Learning Center for the kids to play with.

Very nice Bob..
My wood working project today was putting up more shelves in the basement for canned goods...

Rg the motion machine and RBS board both turned out great. I know you like to keep active have you given any thought to doing a monthly craft day with the children at your daughter's child care center or small project night at Lowes.

Raquettedacker/Dom nice looking shelves gives you more space to store your canned vegetables and sauces from your garden.

Fussy little bugger Bill. Doing projects like this I wish I had a Bridgeport and a Harding in the arsenal.
