You're absolutely correct but it's still fun to shine a light at a brook full of those tasty little devils.My brother and I rented a cabin in Diamond Point one winter and spring that had a little brook running through the property 25 years ago.There were so many smelt in there you could have walked across the brook and not have got your feet wet...oh the good old days!

Any word on Lewiston/Artpark?  I'm going myself firday or saturday night but would love to know in advance. this is the last weekend before turkey season so I have to give it a try.

Hey fisherhahn...Let me know how make out at Artpark this weekend.  I'm thinking about going up next weekend.  I haven't heard anything on whether they're running there or not.
