Anyone know if the fuel line is the same for say an 8 hp and a 60 hp. I'm looking at a 60 that was running and now isnt ( me thinks bad fuel) Would like to bring a portable 3 gal. tank and try to run it. The line I have fits a 2000 8 hp Think they are the same ? Thanks Mikey

Depends on the connections. The rubber line will be the same but the part that connects to the motor might be different. Ask this over on Iboats and make sure you include the year and make of both motors. My guess would be that they are the same.

I have had the same problem with all my motors. Put in dry gas / seafoam and they are running better. I believe we are starting to see the results of ethanol in the gas. One motor I pulled the carb off and the inlet jet was plugged with  some corrosion, whats so bad is that the carb was worked on 4 yrs ago and now its clogged again. So it looks like some sort of additive will have to go in my gas from now on.

ethanol attracts water, very bad if you get any water in the gas with ethanol, you might as well dump the gas and start over
