Pearcheyes, you will be my inspiration to get out fishing much more next year. I can't tell you how many times I have thought about your posts about Wawasee as I drove down to Tri-County to rabbit hunt this fall.  I have a great fall bluegill spot that hasn't been touched for several years now. Thanks for keeping us motivated!

Good Luck!  I arrived tonight in Florida to dog sit for my sister while she goes on a trip for 2 weeks.  Suppose to be 76 and partly sunny here. Hate that my boat is in storage in Indiana. Oh well, I'll try and get my fishing fix from your pictures.  Have fun!!

What do you use this time of year and your technique. You say they are ready to spawn. Do you search near shore off the weed lines? Avg water depth you find them in. I may hit Mud lake this weekend. I know it has a good population of nice size perch.

I am by no means a fish biologist but information says they will spawn at water temps around 45 .They will move to shallow water to spawn and then hold in these areas for awhile then move back to prespawn areas which will be deeper.Ive been catching perch shallow, deep and everything in between. If you can find weed edges or 7-8 ft flats with some structure that would be a good place to start  hope this helps

A bit cold this morning including the fishing .All that was caught were 3 large mouth bass .Where did those fat perch go,Water temp was 43 so they still should be pre spawn iunless they spawned during the very brief warm up
