I am heading up to blackstrap for a couple of weeks.  I don't have a boat is the shore fishing pretty good? Ive never tried the lake before just looking for a starting point/

i have shore fished blackstrao a lot, the very north and south ends have both produced for me as well as evans road. I have found that a pickeral rig with minnows works best. However as the summer goes on the weeds can get really bad and make it quite difficult to get a hooked fish to shore.

I tried for 2 weeks with no luck. I was only able to try a couple of hours each evening.  Still nice to get out and relax.  I was told that the guys in the boats were catching lots.  Hoping to go back closer to fall. The camp grounds are really nice there.
